The chapter does not stockpile HOG or chapter apparel, although we do maintain a full assortment of HOG patches and several HOG ball caps. In lieu of this, we use a process whereby chapter members identify items in our catalog that they desired to purchase and pre-pay for the item. The Chapter Quartermaster will then facilitate and manage the order through the appropriate HD process.

When there is membership interest in purchasing apparel that bears the chapter logo, notify the Quartermaster so he/she can assist in initiating the planning process. This is essential as nearly all items that bear a chapter logo are special order items, which carry an extended ordering period plus a requirement for a minimum number of purchases. The Quartermaster can assist you in determining costs, identifying any vendor discounts that may be available, and placing your order. The Quartermaster will also be your representative to the Chapter’s combined officer committee for obtaining funding support if needed. As stated, Chapter logo apparel will nearly always carry a minimum purchase of 12 or 24 items. Typically if the members can commit to fund at least 51% (7 of 12 or 13 of 24), the chapter will be willing to purchase the difference, whether that is 5 items, 10, items, etc.
