Do you want to join the Fort Washington H.O.G. Chapter?

First, you must be a National Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) member. Call 1-800-CLUB-HOG (800-258-2464) or visit www.hog.com to join National H.O.G. Then come to a Chapter meeting or visit the Harley Davidson of Washington, DC, Dealership, complete the application and pay your dues. When our Membership Officer verifies your National membership status, you will be a Chapter member. You should get a welcome package and your local membership card within several weeks.

You can Download our Membership Application and drop it in the H.O.G. mailbox at the Dealership or turn it in at our next meeting, along with your dues! If you leave your application at the Dealership, include a photocopy of your National H.O.G. membership card or a copy of the website verification with your application. This is to show current National H.O.G. membership status.

What are the types of Chapter memberships?

Local H.O.G. Chapters have only annual memberships. Local H.O.G. Chapters do not have life memberships or collect dues for multi-year memberships because your application serves as an annual waiver for Chapter rides and events.

What is the membership period?

  • All Chapter memberships are for 1 year and expire on December 31 of that year.
  • New memberships received after October 1 do not expire until December 31 of the following year.

How much are dues?

  • New member Chapter dues are $20.00.
  • Renewal Chapter dues are $15.00.
  • Please note that National H.O.G. dues are separate from Chapter dues.

Why may it take so long to get my Chapter membership card?

The Membership Officer checks the H.O.G. mailbox at least once a week to process new applications and renewals. The applications are checked for accuracy and to verify National H.O.G. membership. The information is entered into (for new members) or checked against (for renewing members) the Chapter database.  Welcome letters and membership cards are printed and mailed to new members. All local H.O.G. officers are volunteers who devote lots of time, effort and love to their H.O.G. duties. But just like most of us, they also have jobs, families, Harleys, vacations, and business travel.

Do I get a discount at the Dealership for being a Local H.O.G. members?

Active local Chapter members receive a 10 percent discount coupon for participating in certain Chapter events, such as meetings or rides/events. This coupon may be used at Harley-Davidson of Washington, DC, or its sister Dealership, All American Harley-Davidson, Hughesville, Maryland.   The Dealership also usually has a "Customer Appreciation Week" in December before the holidays to thank Chapter members.

How does the membership renewal process work?

First, your National H.O.G. membership must be current. If it is not, call 1-800-CLUB-HOG (800-258-2464) or visit www.hog.com to renew.

Pre-printed renewal applications for the upcoming year will be provided starting at the October and November meetings.  Those not picked up will be mailed after the November meeting. The renewal application must be completed, signed and returned at a meeting, or dropped off at or mailed to the Chapter at the Dealership. Proof of active and current National H.O.G. membership is required. You can obtain an e-mail verification of your National H.O.G. by visiting www.hog.com . National H.O.G. life members do not have to provide proof of membership status.

What is a continuous membership and how do I maintain a continuous membership?

Membership must be renewed before December 31 each year to maintain continuous membership. Members not renewing by December 31 will be considered new members and lose that continuous status.

How do I get a 5-year or 10-year pin?

Members must maintain continuous local Chapter membership for 5 years or 10 years to receive a Chapter  pin for the respective number of years.
