Fort Washington, MD H.O.G.
Chapter License Plates

The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) offers a special license plate to members of the Fort Washington, MD Chapter of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.). The license plate is available for motorcycles, cars, trucks, and sport utility vehicles, and features:

• the national H.O.G. logo,
• a unique four-position serial number,
• a unique organizational identifier of “FW”, and
• the literal “HOG” on motorcycle plates and “Harley Owners Group” on passenger vehicle plates.

Requirements:

• Applicant must be a current Fort Washington, MD H.O.G. member to apply for the H.O.G. Chapter License Plate, and must maintain a valid membership to keep the plate. This is a Maryland law.
• Applicant must return old plate(s) to MVA.
• Applicant pays a one-time MVA fee of $25 per vehicle.

Other Features:

• Applicant can select a specific serial number, if available, or select the next sequential number from within a pre-stamped series.
• Applicant can select a matching serial number for bike and passenger vehicle, if available. The bike plate has an "FW" after the serial number (e.g., 0101FW), and the passenger vehicle has an "FW" before the number (e.g., FW0101). • Two sizes of motorcycle plates are available: a limited number in 8-1/4 inches wide by 4-1/2 inches high (series 0151FW to 0200FW), and more in the new format in 7 inches wide by 4 inches high (series 0201FW to 0250FW). Why two formats? See the law.

The Chapter H.O.G. Tag Coordinator, controls the assignment of the numbers and validates the Chapter membership of the applicant. All applications must go through the Coordinator.

Read the flyer, fill out the application information form, and drop the application information form in the H.O.G. Mailbox at Harley-Davidson of Washington, DC, or bring it to the monthly Chapter meetings.
